Absalom's Revenge | 2 Samuel 13:23-14:33

We are currently in a teaching series called 2 Samuel: Broken and Beloved. The purpose of this series has been to learn about God, humanity, and the hope of the gospel. Recently we entered into the second section of the book, observing David’s decline and subsequent consequences. This week we are going to study 2 Samuel 13:23-14:33 and witness Absalom’s revenge. We will see how David’s family continues to decline when Absalom kills his brother Amnon in revenge for Tamar. Sadly this act leads to more dysfunction in the family—alienating father and son. Join us as we receive a warning about revenge and the refusal to reconcile with others.
