As we continue looking at the first responders to the birth of the Christ, the next character we meet is Simeon. Simeon was a devout Jew who was longing to see God fulfill His promises to Israel. Simeon believed He would meet the Messiah before His death because of a specific promise made to him by the Holy Spirit. Listen in as we see that promise fulfilled and learn from Simeon’s response to seeing Jesus.

2000 years ago, everything changed. A history-altering event occurred in a little town in the Middle East, and there were a select few individuals who were first on the scene. This week, as Advent season is upon us, we begin a new series—First Responders, taking a look at some of the first people to meet Emmanuel, and how they reacted to this life-changing experience. We begin this week by looking at the shepherds, some of the least likely first responders we could imagine. The shepherds went to see Christ, then came away with a story to share. Their input impacted their output. In response to the coming of Christ, you also have something to exclaim.
