Depravity: Pagans Condemned | Romans 1:18-32

A few weeks ago we started a new series called Romans: The Power of the Gospel. The first part of Paul’s letter to the Roman Christians contains his detailed description of the gospel. When read in context, the letter to the Romans shows how a right understanding of the gospel provides proper motivation to live the Christian life. Paul begins his explanation of the gospel by discussing human depravity. If the gospel is the power of God for salvation, Paul begins by explaining what humans need saving from. He explains that God is angry with pagan sinners because they suppress the truth and serve created things over the Creator. He explains that because of their hard hearts, God allowed mankind to chase their sinful passions which will lead to their destruction. Join us this week as we study Romans 1:18-32 learning truths about human depravity and applying those truths to our lives.
