Community And Comparison | John 21:18-25

Do you ever find yourself comparing your life to someone else? Do you ever get lost in wishing your circumstances were different? One of the side effects of sin is for humans to look horizontally to others to determine their significance rather than looking vertically to God. Comparison is a dangerous trap that either leaves people wrongfully prideful, or stuck in despair. Interestingly enough, John ends his gospel story with a reminder to avoid this trap. Join us this weekend for the last message of the gospel of John series in which Jesus reminds Peter to focus on his story, and not get lost in comparing himself to someone else’s.
