Disciples And Calling | John 1:35-51

The whole story of the Bible describes God’s mission to glorify His own name by reuniting creatures with their creator through the redemption of Jesus. As we turn our attention to John 1:35-51 the particular question of how he plans to accomplish His mission is raised. God could have accomplished His mission in a variety of ways, and yet what we are going to see is that He chose to advance His mission to the world by recruiting, teaching, and sending out unworthy men. This becomes very practical when we consider this is still His plan, to use us, unworthy people to accomplish His mission of bringing glory to His name by living a life that points to the good news of Jesus.
