Witness And Persecution | John 15:18-16:4

Having appropriate expectations is important for finding success in almost every area of life. Living the Christian life is no different. The Bible teaches that Christian’s are meant to live in the world but not be of the world. This means Christian’s should not isolate themselves from the culture, but rather be actively engaged in it. However, this does not mean that Christian’s should think like, act like, or value the same things as the rest of the world—they are meant to be known by God’s values. When this happens, followers of Jesus may be confusing to non Christians, and even be resented by them. This is what Christian’s must be prepared for and expect.
