The Heart Of Man | Matthew 15:1-20
Last week we started a new series called The Moral of the Story: The Parables of Jesus. The purpose of this series is to learn from Jesus the master storyteller as He reveals life changing spiritual truths through relatable stories. This week we are studying a parable that discusses what defiles a person from Matthew 15:1-20. In this parable, Jesus is addressing common misunderstandings about the Mosaic Law—mainly the food laws. Jesus will explain that what goes in doesn’t make a person unclean, rather what comes out from the heart defiles them. Join us as we learn from Jesus’ teaching and apply it to our lives.
The Sower | Matthew 13:1-23
We are starting a new series called The Moral of the Story: The Parables of Jesus. The purpose of this series is to learn from Jesus the master storyteller as He reveals life changing spiritual truths through relatable stories. This week we are studying the parable of The Sower from Matthew 13:1-23. In this parable, we will wrestle with the following question: why do some people respond to the gospel positively and some people respond to it negatively? Jesus will explain to us the four different responses the human heart has to the preaching of the gospel and we will apply those ideas to our lives.
