Value #5—Growth Is A Series Of Next Steps | Philippians 2:12-13

Another value informed by the mission and shaping the culture has to do with spiritual growth. God saves sinners by grace through faith. Sinners are not expected to clean themselves up before they embrace faith—God calls them to come just as they are. However, God loves them too much to leave them as they are. God is always calling Christians to grow up into spiritual maturity. He is the one who changes people, and yet He calls us to participate in that process. We believe every Christian is on a journey toward Christlikeness—and no one in this life has arrived yet. Therefore, every Christian has a next step. We don’t want any believer to grow complacent in their journey, but take full responsibility of taking step after step toward maturity in Christ. Join us this week as we discuss value #5—growth is a series of next steps—exploring in detail what that means, and how we hope this value shapes the future of this church.
