David's Sin | 2 Samuel 11

We are currently in a teaching series called 2 Samuel: Broken and Beloved. We have been learning that 2 Samuel is a continuation of 1 Samuel carrying on the story of the beginning of Israel’s monarchy. We have been observing David’s flourishing as he walks in obedience. Now comes the tragic part of the story where we start to witness his decline. This week we are going to study 2 Samuel 11 and see how David sinned by committing adultery with Bathsheba, covering up the unexpected pregnancy through murder, and taking her to be his wife. We will learn that these actions greatly displeased God and set the stage for his judgment and consequences. Listen in as we study this passage and learn about the destructive nature of sin.
